Our Super Service Story


Andrew Bray and Bob Cornwall's journey to creating Super Service Auto Shops is a

story of passion, dedication, and a shared vision for excellence in the automotive

industry.


Andrew Bray grew up deeply embedded in the mechanical side of the automotive world.

His journey began in a small auto shop, where he developed a passion for fixing cars.

As his family grew, Andrew knew he needed to expand his skills and find a stable job.

This led him to a shop where Bob Cornwall worked, and it was here that Andrew's

potential was fully realized. He earned his ASE Master Tech certification and saw

firsthand what efficiency and quality in an auto repair shop looked like. Eventually

achieving World Class technician status, an elite certification by ASE for automotive

professionals. Out of 250,000 mechanics worldwide who are certified, only about 2000

have earned World Class status.


Bob Cornwall's path was different but equally impactful. Starting in outside sales, Bob

met thousands of shop owners and gained invaluable insights into what made a shop

successful. Transitioning to a service advisor and general manager, Bob was mentored

in the importance of quality service and customer care. He even created the Raving

Fan Checklist to ensure guests were not just satisfied, but so delighted they would rave

about their experience to others.


In 2016, Andrew and Bob joined forces to run Placentia Super Service, building on a

legacy started by Ralph “Buddy” Dubois in 1978. They turned it into a thriving business,

growing from 45 vehicles a month to over 100 vehicles a week. They expanded their

approach, joining community groups, enhancing their web presence, and developing

robust systems and procedures.


Service is the number one focus at Super Service Auto Shop. Every investment made

by Andrew and Bob has been to improve the guest experience. From the friendly, well-

trained staff to the clean, comfortable waiting rooms with complimentary snacks and

drinks, everything is designed with the guest in mind, including a full digital picture

inspection of every vehicle and texting recommendations and service reminders. They

even offer loaner cars and a concierge service for pick-up and delivery.


Super Service's commitment to quality is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide

warranty, and the use of only the highest-quality parts ensures guests don't have to

return for the same issue repeatedly. Andrew and Bob also prioritize their internal team, providing a well-equipped break

room and continuous training to ensure their technicians & service advisors are the best


in the field. They believe that happy employees lead to happy guests, creating a

supportive and collaborative work environment. Bob's vision has always been to create a trustworthy auto repair shop where every

customer, whether a newly licensed teen or a retired driver, feels secure knowing they’ll

be treated fairly and with integrity. Andrew's passion lies in teaching and coaching

young technicians, showing them the right way to succeed in auto repair without

compromising integrity.


Together, Andrew Bray and Bob Cornwall have built a legacy of automotive excellence,

driven by their commitment to quality service, guest satisfaction, and a supportive work

environment. This legacy now extends to 4 shops. From Placentia Super Service to

Super Service of Aliso Viejo, Super Service of Pomona Valley, and Super Service of

Corona Hills, each offering the same high standards and dedication to customer care.

This led to being named National Multi-Shop of the Year by the nation’s leading

automotive training group.
